Hmm...an ITR owner should know they can sell their car for $13-20k, so why would they trade it for a hatch worth $3-4K with a bunch if ITR/CTR parts?

I'm not askin for a type r with 20kmiles I'm just seeing if anyone was interested.there's a lot of type r out there that have miles.imperfections goin for under 13k

Your CTR clone sounds really nice. Personally I would try to keep it and just buy an ITR. Maybe one of the cheaper ones, or a damaged one for cheap and fix it up.

his trade sounds legit.. has alot of nice parts.. i would be intrested but only if a large sum of money was offered.. but mine isnt exactly a stock one.. has alot of money in the motor setup and other mods.. but i think your car is nice.. if i remember right were you selling it a while ago but with the boosted sohc??

 

let me break it down for you a little nicer than others have.

while, yes, your car sounds very nice and probably performs just as well as an R, or better, it's still not a real R. no matter what parts you have on it it will never be an authentic ek9. and authenticity goes a long way.

 

Don't hate on this kid for asking. He knows he wont get a $20k ITR for his hatch. And if you don't ask, you will never know if someone is willing to trade him. Just because you won't, doesn't mean someone else won't.

Man, now I remember why I stopped posting around here. Nothing but haters..

 

I just dont know why someone would want to trade an ITR for a car with ITR parts in the form of a Civic.

 

thank you !! that's what I mean.I know its not real ek9!! but its something the states never saw but in a clone form...plus it has a bigger motor than a ek9 would have. I mean I'm not tryin to trade a eg with a b16 for a type r..I feel with all my parts and legit R motor wheels and susp I am in the range of a used integra type r.maybe ppl are lookin for a change...but still have the power of a r and style.suspension and braking...

 

I think you can still get a pretty penny for this, but you won't see anybody in their right mind do a straight up trade.

Perhaps somebody with a busted title? that might work.

Dollar per dollar if you sold you wouldn't be that far away from obtaining a 97/98 itr, You could probably easily get 9-10k for that.

So does the deal include all of the stock parts? Not trying to bash your dreams or anything, but I often see people posting what they thing their car is worth by adding up all the parts plus the book value of the car in stock form. IMO you need to value the car as a shell, because unless all the stock parts are included, that's what it is. So deduct the value of a D series motor swap, stock seats, cluster, 4 bolt+wheels and tires, stock exhaust, headlights and so on if it's not included. In reality, it's worth less than a stock car plus a pile of aftermarket and swap parts (less: factory build quality, reliability and so on).

This might be the reason that guys with type Rs aren't lining up at your door for tradesies.

I kno its not authentic and its a civic blahblah.but I built this car and what's a type r worth without 5 lug or c5 or anything ? what makea a R worth is the authenticity. rareness and expensive parts. I didn't ask for a vote if u thought it was a fair trade or howmuch my car stock is worth. I don't care what you have to say. don't waste your time.
