I normally don’t post threads like this but this is something that might make everyone feel a little happier. I’ve finally seen evidence that car alarms can work.
A local Toronto teg owner catches the thieves in the act as they attempt to steel his car. License plate numbers of the get away car are posted in the thread.

This is the feel-good story of the week. Too bad he didn't check their licenses and wrote down their addresses. Would be his leverage against them coming back with a vengeance, knowing he and his buddies knew where they or their families lived.

i am REALLY glad to hear this. i'd have beaten the living expletive out of them
but i would then have torched their car as a great big "stick that up your **** theif"
the organised car crime in the states need a good kicking more often

This is good.
I'd really like to see that sheet of paper that the theives had on them with other addresses of other cars they were going to hit. That would be huge and give a heads up to anyone who needs to give a special look-out. Chances are, these guys probably had some friends who do the same thing.
Wikked catch though!!!

definitely. atleast contact those ppl and let them know what happened. I believe there is at least a slight amount of exaggeration in that story. but I would think getting their Licenses and as much info as possible would be a top priority after whooping some ***. that license plate is likely stolen anyway so probably wont give you much info. then of course break every light and window of that civic, maybe pour some dirt in the oil and gas caps, or just take a nice BFH to the entire car, whatever else to make their night that much worse.

im happy to see they got pounded for that. and i agree cops dont know what to do when it comes to theft, its prolly the time to take matters into our own hands
. hopefully more situations like that happen and then theives will get a real damn job. a little exageration, but i still believe it.

I don't think you are stupid at all, and understand your feelings toward the owner for taking the law into his own hands. I don't necessarily think the owner should be arrested, but needs to consider how much danger he could have placed himself in.
Should those thieves have had guns, this would have been a much different scenario. I too couldn't help but cheer the story on as i read it, but i started disagreeing with it once i read how the individuals were robbed and badly beaten.
IMHO.... the plates should have been turned into the police, and if they wanted to scare them for a bit and have some fun with them that would have been appropriate too. Perhaps i am the only one who thinks this, but once the owner and his friends began breaking the law themselves, they became just as much a criminal as thieves trying to steal the car.

I can't wait till their addy is up. It will posted all over the internet. They will have to move and change their names. Props to the guy who did this. The thieves car is a four door black civic with plate #.

the toronto police force does not do anything in regards to car theft, or theft in general. They add you to a list and put the vin down as stolen and forget about it.
slackers.
