Trimming bottom out bumpers on coil over kits?
I got my sportline kit about a month ago and have been busy and have not had time to take it to be installed. I know it is supposedly very easy and I should do it myself but it is my first new car and I just want to make sure its done right. I took the kit to my mechanic and he said he was going to have to pull the whole rear struts off and appart to remove and trim the bumper(40mm is what it says in the directions). This also came with a $300 dollar labor fee including alignment and instalation of the other springs. Now I read a while back that some of you said you put these kits on in like 45 minutes? Did you not trim the bumper or how did you do this in that amount of time?

i think you mean the front struts and cutting the bump stops. The rear struts aren't even touched when just installing springs besides removing the bottom bolt to lower the control arm.
