just did a head swap on my 90 civic dx to a 92-95 vtec got two cpu codes and the car runs slower than the original head. the 02 sensor is new from rywire and the cyp sensor, can anione help car has bein running like that for about two weeks, very disapointed on the swap wasted about 1000 buks from dpi to mpfi to minimi head swap. ani ideas thanks, there has to be some on hondatech that can give me some helpfull info.

 

sure your not throwing vtec codes? or a dizzy code check sparkplugs sprakplug wires injectors make sure the vtec solniod is good

how do i check the vtec solenoid to see if its in working condition

 

mpfi ... 1000 bucks.. what codes are it throwing? and are u 100% the timing is correct?

 

well first converted to mpfi with a y8 manifold then converted the head from 90 to 92-95 vtec with an ajustible cam sprocket the codes are 1 and 9 one for the oxygen the other for the dizzy but the dizzy is brand new cant seem to figue it out. by the way running a p28, if the timming is off a tooth the ajustible cam sprocket would fix that problem,already done that.

 

you can test the solniod by hooking it up to the bat to see if it clicks open or not allso look up the codes your throwing that could help you out alot on that one to
