Default Picked up a Fit Sport 5AT.

So I ended up getting a Milano Red Fit Sport 5AT yesterday. I really lucked out. I didn't have a deposit anywhere, but one of the sales people I had been talking to told me his dealership was supposed to get a Fit Sport 5AT soon that wasn't spoken for. He called me yesterday about 1pm and told me it was being unloaded from the delivery truck. I went down to the dealership with my parents. I didn't even need to drive it. It had 3 miles and the mechanic added 5 more during the inspection. I would've preferred to purchase my Honda from another dealership, but oh well. I didn't have anything to trade in. Actually I sold my '05 STi last month. My '93 SE-R spun a bearing and started knocking last week and so I was driving my dad's truck until I figured out what to do. They sold the car to me at MSRP + $32 documentation fee. I got them to sell me a few accessories at their cost (cargo cover, all season mats and all season trunk mat). I couldn't get them to waive the stupid $32 fee or throw anything in whatsoever. I even walked out and the sales manager didn't even stop me. I guess they know the demand far exceeds the supply with the Fit. It's okay, I don't regret a thing.

Basically...I wasn't ready to purchase a car so soon, but I knew I wanted the Fit after looking at a lot of cars. For now here are some pics I took with my RAZR. I'll get up some good pics a little later and add to this thread along with a detailed comparison of the other cars I considered and test drove.

That's funny because dealers can't keep these cars on their lots. People are preordering Fits and waiting up to 6 months sometimes...so I don't know how many people actually know what a stock Fit looks like. Maybe I should rice it out and then post a new thread.

Find another thread to troll in. Last time I checked this is the FIT forum.

good point. Honda should put some pictures up on their website or something. I'm gonna go write them a letter.

You sound like you've got a lot of time on your hands. Maybe you should've asked your mom why she didn't swallow instead.

Congrats again man MR is awesome on da Fit!

I think the Fit is still rare enough where posting up pics of stock ones are no big deal. Esp not when a longtime member of this forum, who has debated getting one for so long, finally gets one...its a special day y0!!

Hey thanks, I appreciate it. Actually you helped me a lot in the decision process.

I posted pics because I'm happy about it. Not to mention most people like pics to go with a story I thought.

I promise no more pics...until I Spoon it out y0!!! Then I'll be sure to post it in the Appearance/Cosmetic forum sitting on Rotaz d00d.

I really don't understand.. we have in stock like 200 fits (not lying!) but like 75% of them are 5AT. We don't have any 5MT sport in stock.

Uh.. then don't you mean that 100% are 5AT... not 75...

Maybe he meant 75% are Sport AT and the other 25% are Base AT/MT?

Aww man a 17k car with paddle shifters what a letdown

I like the Fit Sport, I saw one yesterday and it renewed my interest in owning one.

I encourage you automatic haters to at least drive a Fit Sport. It's not what you would think. Honda built this 5AT right. I didn't pay $17k either...$16.5.

Nah I wasn't hating on it, the 5at sport is what i'm looking at, i'm mocking him because he instantly dismisses it because it's AT.

Wow you must be a witty guy then for negotiating a sales price in the 15k range. Why is it that no one considers sales tax, license fee, and destination charges as part of what they paid?

I paid 18k even in California for a Sport AT. That's msrp + destination + tax + license.
