uh oh... crack in TE-37... repairable?

Default uh oh... crack in TE-37... repairable?

so i found a small crack on the lip on the inside of one of my volk TE-37's. it is only about an inch long and is right on the edge of the rim.. i am wondering if a magnesium wheel is repairable. any help would be appreciated! thanks

Your going to have to find someone that really knows how to tig weld magnesium. Its gonna be a hard search, Ill tell you. I found someone here in Omaha, Nebraska to weld magnesium for fairly cheap.

Shouldnt be more than $100 to get it welded and sanded and whatnot.

More $ if you have to repowdercoat it.

I don't think TE37s are magnesium and they are anodized not powdercoated......

Try asking a professional wheel repair shop.

If there isn't one in your area, take a photo and e-mail it to them for an opinion, before actually shipping the wheel to them.

I know that TE's are anodized.... i thought they were magnesium... not positive though
