Default Overheating problem

EK with B16a2 running with a D16 radiator that came with my DX, have never overheated because of the different diameters of the radiator and the upper hose. Though i do loose coolant because of it, but have never experienced overheating because of it in 4 years. Heater still works and brings down the temp rapidly. Temp gauge isnt hitting redline or anything like that, but its above the normal enough to be a concern. I only see overheating when in stop and go traffic. Help me out guys, my guess is radiator fans arent switching on. Thanks in advance.

Update: ran my car in my garage and waited for the radiator fan to turn on 3 times and temp was at normal.

like stated, Air inthe coolant.. ='s bleed the system, and maybe your thermo is bad .. By an OEM honda one, not an autozone one... its a quick 30 min fix.. BE SURE TO GET THE AIR OUT!
