OEM VS NGK I know I know
Done with the build (all-motor PMR) & gathering parts for swappage.
Needed some plugs & wires. I remember reading an article years ago about OEM wires being superior to NGK & was wondering if same ring true? I was looking at the NGK blues for a decent deal & ofcourse their claims. Should I just run to honda & get me some OEM's or has NGK stepped up their game since?

alot of time is that one company got a contract with honda that make a part to honda's spec, it might roll out from the same factory but the engineering and design of the two part could be totally different.
you can't just say they are the samething, same idea of fram making filter for honda, nissin making caliper for spoon and oem and they are not the same.
well, they could be but unless honda release the spec sheets, no way to know
oem wires almost always outlast aftermarket all the time, test your wire if you are getting resistance within spec, you are only wasting your money with the "upgrade"

I'm not upgrading, i'm puttin in a motor & don't have any wires. The wires coming from the motor i'm yanking came with crappy autozone wires or some **** so i'm not using those. I just wanted to know if I should save a few bux with the ngk blues I see a vendor sellin here & if their comparable or just cough up the extra dough for OEM. I'm not one to cheap out on parts but I didn't have the right info to make my decision.
I went and got some NGK V-power plugs once only to realize that the dealer will replace your OEM plugs with...NGK V-power.
But yeah, keep your OEM plugs, upgrading is not really cost effective, in fact there ARE some aftermarket plugs that outperform, but most actually do WORSE. So stick with OEM, put that money into some iridium plugs.
