whats wrong with my headlights?
i can't figure out whats wrong with my headlights and i need help. my parking lights work...and when i turn on my low beams only the driver's side works. now, when i turn on my high beams the driver side light completely goes out and only the passenger side works. the passenger side lowbeam will occasionally come on but will soon go out while i'm driving. i checked the fuses and they're ok, and i also bought another turn signal switch and it still does the same thing. what the hell is wrong with my car?
its your bulbs. two seperate outputs-hi/lo. your pass side low works, drivers low does not. your pass side high does not and your drivers side high works.is this right? the bulbs have a seperate filament for high and low beam.i reread your post- your pass side plug is fucked-you probably partially melted it with shitty aftermarket bulbs. you need a new drivers side bulb. this is my best guess.

check fuses!
each out has its own fuse i think they are all 10 or 15 amp
then check the bulb, if one of the filaments are burnt then the bulb is dead
go to wal-mart and buy some xtra visions - a pair is like 20bucks OR just get some regular oem replacements.
if that doesn't work, go sears/radio shack and buy a decent digital multimeter $20+ at least.
time to test wires.
see if the wires at the bulb end are getting voltage, when the headlights have been switched on. and also check the highbeam wire
if the harness at the bulb end isn't getting any voltage then you have a serious problem.
