Connecting rods are going to be your weak point, and you'll have to pay $700 for them (unless you get a d15b crank). It will be a lot easier and more cost-effective to just swap in a d16 block.

Yes, but you can get a d16 block for dirt cheap. d16 rods are as low as $225, and they are appropriate for most people's power goals. The combined cost is still lower than the $700 you'll give Crower for d15 rods.
