because i bought a harness that was supposed to be for my 90 si shell that im dropping a b18 into and but on the main plug on my engine harness i sqare with 6 wires and the plug on the car is round with 8 wires so i think i got jipped on the harness help please

 

sounds like you have a 88 crx harness

 

i dont really know this is my first swap but like i said the plug on the car is round with 8 wires and the engine harness i have has a square plug with only 6 wires so im totally confused all help would be appreciated

 

yeah hf harness is different then the si harness..and in general the 88 is different than 89-91 harness..

ok so i have an 88 harness which has 2 less wires than my body harness can i just wire those 6 up or do i need to run the extra 2 wire somwhere idont have a clue wha they go to

 

come on guys i need to get this car running and everthings in except this harness

 

^ even if you had the right year harness it still wouldnt work..the hf is different then the si harness..

 

allright you got me confused i have a 1990 crx si and a 1988 crx si engine harness (this i just found out) so neither is from an hf but thats what i thought when i posted so now th ? is what are the 2 extra wires on the body harness that the 88 si harness does not have

you my freind are my new hero thanks so much i was about to give $290 at the honda dealer for a harness so if i just leave those to wires unpluged it will run fine?

 

sorry for thread jack but whats the difference between the harness's of a 91hf and a 91 si?

 

i think it's just one wire
