some notes from the video:
- the first four seconds of the video should be cut out.
- that track screams "do NOT go off or else"
- looks like the beginner group, some of the cars being passed look like they were on a parade lap while the driver is pushing it (as evident by the tire squeals)
- track looks like a track that would benefit torquey cars for the elevation changes.

- its not a serious video or anything , the beginning is just a joke because I was checking to see if the camera was recording and my big nose was in plain view.
- if you go off the track it's not going to be a fun ride.
-it was actually the intermediate advanced group , the fastest time that day was a 1:02
( held by a 2006 Z06) . I was running 1:07's.
- torque and boosted cars would do great there.

Might as well use this as a learning opportunity, since you posted it
:
-You make a number of unnecessary upshifts. After the downhill followed by the turn with orange markers, you upshift to 3rd for like one second, then downshift to 2nd again. Simplify everything by either not bothering to upshift, or upshift way sooner and carry your momentum up to that point while still in 3rd.
-At that orange-markered corner, you're shifting to 2nd while turning in (it looks like). You don't want to be shifting mid-corner like that, try to get that crap done before turn-in.
Otherwise looks pretty good. I'm only nit-picking because I'm jealous I can't be on track until February

The track looks like a lot of fun but like you said, going off wouldn't be a good thing.
The one thing that really jumped out at me watching your video is that your hands never really stray from the 9-3 position because you feed the wheel as you corner. I strongly suggest that you keep your thumbs planted around the spokes of the steering wheel to maintain solid control.
Where is this track located (state, city, etc)? I really liked the elevation changes.

I've heard this before... and i see it this way...
there are the shufflers and the twisters. those who twist their arms to turn and those who shuffle the wheel between their hands to turn.
both work fine.

You don't see any F1 drivers who shuffle, trust me.

You can't compare F1 (or any formula type car) to production based cars. Formula cars don't have the 3+ turns lock to lock that a production car has. Like it was said before, some people shuffle, some people don't, I know some that do both depending on track/situation.

Im taking this all in and to be honest I noticed most of the mistakes you fellas mentioned.
I just threw that tranny in the week before , its a 2000 si tranny vs my old gsr tranny... So i was kinda confused in regards to what gear would be best for particular turns.
My hands did move a lot but some of those turns were really sharp , I need to develop a comfortable driving style.
This is my third track event , hopefully with time I can become a lot cleaner and smoother behind the wheel.
More constructive criticism is welcomed !

"there are the shufflers and the twisters"
shufflers are those who shuffle around the wheel while turning and twisters are those who maintain the 9 and 3 position and twist their arms? is this right?

yes, that is correct. I use both methods, depending on the turn. I usually twist were I can, but on some of the tighter stuff, its impossible to twist and make the turn - you have to shuffle. but don't dwell on wether to do one or the other. twist where its comfortable, and shuffle where its comfortable, its not something you should have to really think about when you are on the track.
it looks like you are doing pretty good for your third event. work on your shifting a bit more like said above. you don't need to worry about running all the way to redline on each shift when you are starting out, just pick comfortable shift points so that you are not fumbling around with the shifter when entering a turn.
