Yeap, I was there and I have it on video if someone can get it in the correct format. I have it in quicktime movie format, so if anyone has the ability/info to change it let me know.

I also witnessed this run. Hell the pass before the 7.70 was a 8.0 @ 196mph!!!!!!!! I mean thats insane and he is still shifting the damn gears!!!!! No powerglide in that beast. It would have been that much cooler if he could have drug the rear bumper like a few of the cars in his class on his launch and still ran those times lol

 

DAMMMMM, Shep never ceases to amaze me! i love it when he is driving back to the pits just chillin, like he just saw a friday night movie

he's in the 1300's for awhp.

a friend of mine gave him an oil pump after his failed on saturday.

keep in mind, he is using a mitsu crank and mitsu oil pump...and shifting at 11,500 rpm.

like i said before, insane.

That car is Sick, Deff one of my favorites

 

He was shooting for 7.50's and I think it would have gone had it not mishifted 2 times 3rd to 2nd. How you mis shift and run a 8.21 still is just crazy.

I've read that he uses aluminum rods. What kind of service life do aluminum rods have on a drag car? 1/2 a season? A whole season?

It happened just in front of just after the 1/8 mile marker.

The lifespan of Shep's rods are irrelevant. They're aluminum. They make his car faster. It's drag racing.

I think he found a little more than 1300 HP to run that mph if his car weighs 2600 lbs. How much HP do the PRWD cars make to run 195 mph in a 2350 lb car?
