NOS used to cool JRSC?
just wondering, NOS is used to cool the intake charge on a roots blower (JRSC) cuz it runs so hot at high boost right? http://www.importreview.com/d_supercharged.html
A dry kit should not be used on a car with a blower. The propper kit would be a single fogger wet kit.
Here is some info from NOS' website
We know that superchargers create a lot of horsepower. But at the same time, they also create unwanted heat. One of the greatest benefits of an NOS system is the "intercooler effect". The nitrous is injected at -127 degrees F, and, as it mixes with incoming air, intake temperatures can drop by as much as 75 degrees F. This results in a more dense intake charge. Whats more, the nitrous and extra fuel can provide a 30 - 40% increase in HP and torque. To help simplify installation, kits may be ordered pre-assembled with nozzles, pre-bent tubing, distribution blocks, gaskets, and fittings. These kits designed for GMC-type Roots blowers. For smaller street blowers (like Weiand and B&M) or centrifugal types (Paxton, Vortech, etc.) use appropriate carb plate or EFI nitrous kit.

The JRSC GS-R previously owned by Mike of Team Toilet had a 20 or 25-shot single fogger kit, indeed used to cool the intake charge.
Does the nitrous have any ill effects on the blower fins?
ie: If it's shot into the intake tube, will the nitrous eat away the coating on the blower?

Single fogger wet kit, where fuel and nitrous are introduced into the air intake. I wouldnt recommend. The fuel can have a bad effect on the blower fins. A dry shot is fine on a SC car as long as your fuel system can handle it. A 20-25 shot to cool the air is fine. If you must have a wet shot, go direct port for safety and distribution, but it won't cool the intake charge.
