my friends putting his 91 obd1-converted si harness into his 1988 awd wagovan(mpfi stock) to swap in his z6. he just called me up because he found out the 88 has a square plug by the firewall for the injector wiring and the 91 has a round one with extra wires.

i told him he might just have to use the 88 harness , but I was wondering if anyone knew how to get splice the plugs so he doesnt have to pull the harness back out(the motor is already in). like i said, he said there are some extra wires on the 91si harness and he said that many of the colors don't match up. Does anyone have any idea where to splice each wire to and what the extra ones are for?

use the stock harness and add the plugs you need off your si harness
