my buddy looked at a auto DA for his g/f toonite , the kid is asking 3k$ and it has like 156k , heres the low down , the kid put a GSR head on it and called it a day , with some kinda hack on the vtec solenoid wiring , my buddy says he can talk him down on the price , but what he wants to know is , would it be worth it and how much work would it actually be ?

Talk him down to 1500 if possible. Sounds like it was probably beat on?

 

im sure it was he was gona offer 1,900 i think , but i dont think the head is installed correctly

 

156k miles for 3k? thats kinda high, but i do live in cali where integs and civics are a dime a dozen... 3k here can get you a 94+ integ with 90k+ milage, or a civic hatch with new or rebuilt engines.. if this isnt gonna be for performance u should probably offer low, or just walk away... that integ sounds like its gonna explode soon.

 

yea to me it sounds like a bad idea ,and a train wreck but ima tell him to walk away , thx for your input
