Default CV Axles: Base Model vs. SH Model?

Ok I looked it up on NapaOnline.com
There are two different axles for the base and sh models...
I recently been having this problem of my axle on the passenger side has been popping out of the transmission...
I am not sure what axle I have, but Im pretty sure I should have the base model axle...but you know how the auto parts store people are dumb sometimes and give you the wrong crap...
my question is, does anyone know if the base model cv axle is shorter/longer than the sh model?
