To have one- buy one or get all type r stuff....just buy a type r.
Beat it- turbo the gsr, sc the gsr, or put NOS on gsr. You could beat a type r stock with ur stock gsr if the type r driver sucked.
To dust it- turbo, nos, sc, All motor build-very expensive to do it right.

I am in the process of building a Type R clone. You're going to need to start w/ an RS as it doesn't have sunroof, A/C, etc.

You'll need:
B18C5 motor+ tranny
5 Lug w/ wheels
Swaybars
Trunk brace, strut bar
Type R lip/wing
ITR doors w/ shaved QP, or shave the QP+doors
Sideskirts
CW, PY, FBP, or NHBP paint
Shift ****
Faux Carbon Trim
Cluster
Seats, leather wrapped steering wheel.

For the cost of all this, you could have just bought a type R in the first place.

It can not be done, The sub frame of the ITR is completely different than the GSR (more ridged)... you can come close, but no cigar.

Thanks.
I have the exterior/interior finished up, the motor/5 lug is going to be the expensive part. The thing about building a Type R clone is, you can buy an RS for 3k, spend 8-10k on OEM R parts, and it still won't be worth the same as a stock ITR. Hopefully in a few years I can abandon this moneypit and pick up a nice stock R when I get out of school.

Oh, and expect to be throuroughly chastised by the ITR forum if you post up a "fake" ITR.

why would it cost 3k for an RS? ur not even keeping the engine, so u can part that out and part out the interior parts for some $$ back so u can dump that into more parts

First you have to get an ITR shell, since they are stronger than all other Integra shells. Then you have to purchase and install all the ITR parts that Mr Honda would have bolted to that shell at Suzuka (The plant in Japan where all Integras came to life).

why not just keep the p72 head and still use the jdm R pistons and valve train etc..that way youd be faster than a type r and save money...or is that just too logical??

The cheapest way to out accelerate (that is what you mean by "beat", right?) all you need is a better final drive. Thats it.
