92-93 steering wheel in a 90'
I'm trying to install a 93' steering wheel in a 90' Integra. Both the new and old one have cruise. When I took my old steering wheel off I noticed the little round thing bechind the wheel that the steering wheel connector plugs into was broken on my car. where the connectors plugs in its snapped so it wont hold the connector. How do I remove this circular piece? A new one came with my new wheel so I'll just use that but I cant get the one on my car to come off. Do I just pull on it and it pops off or are there any screws/bolts I need to remove.
Sorry, I dont know what this piece is called but its the round piece of plastic that sits right behind the wheel and has the plug that the steering wheel plugs into. But anyway I still couldnt get the damn thing off for nothing. So I just stuck the connector from the 93' steering wheel into the broken plug on the little circular thing and bolted the wheel on. I have to leave for work in a little bit and needed it on so I'll deal with that later. But I would like to put the newer one on that came with my wheel if I can get the old broken one out.
I noticed the cruise still works but I need to hit the set button twice for it to set. Now this is the reaon why I bought a new wheel (well, part of) and its doing the same thing so I guess its not the wheel. Could it be the circuluar piece that has the broken plug on it or could there be something else causing this? The cruise works fine other than this, its just kinda annoying.
