That looks like an overlay. What is the point of that? CF was intended to save weight not add it. If it was a complete hood, and it saved a few grams it would be cool, but an overlay that adds weight seems pointless to me.

it matches the rest of the dash so well!!!
o wait no it doesn't. i gotta quit drinking.
it drives me INSANE that people spend the money to make something like that, when the same amount of R and D and cost could have been put into making a one piece crx jdm head light, without the gap.
or perhaps a hatch/sedan front without the horrid "metal filler" piece.
its just so misdirected, why not make parts that are superior to their oem counterparts????
im very anti interior bling, and that is purely an opinion though. others may blow a load in their pants looking at that thing, to me it seems like mis-spent time and effort.
like once its bolted in and you sit in the car, it wont magically be transforemd into a 2006 infiniti, it will just make the rest of the interior look worse...
for 6 bucks you can get paint to redo your whole interior with a true oem finish, and once thats done, it will blow away the combo of a faded interior with that cf cluster hood. (link in sig)
you could also redo the two tone in any way you want, with some masking tape and some newspapers. for example, if you take a close look at the top half of a black oem crx interior the top half is almost like a weird dark green after 15 years of the sun beating down on it.
as for the piece you showed, if its an overlay, EWW. if its a complete hood out of CF thats kind of cool but its going to really look out of place in a 16 year old interior.
