i just installed a horn button on my crx because my stock horn on the steering wheel was broken and i didn't feel like fixing it, i didnt disconnect the power while working on it, if that makes nay difference, but as soon as i start driving and i break, the seat belt warning light and the door open warning lights turn on, and the brake lights do not work, ive unplugged the neg. i've reseted the ECU too, still no change plz help asap!

ive checked all of the harnesses, they all are plugged right, all wires look fine, also, i have the door open sensor unplugged on both doors, but the ecu somehow knows when the doors are open. whenever it acts as if the sensors were connected, if i close both doors, the dash light goes off, but when i press the brake, seat belt warning blinks in the cluster and the door open stays on, and all goes off when i stop braking. i have disconnected and reconnected my brake light switch, looped the wire on the brake light harness, still no brake lights, i've resetted the ecu many times, i have run out of ideas to do.

 

Classic symptom of a bad ground. Check all the grounds in your car, specifically the one by the hood release lever, the one to the right of the steering column, and the one by the rear hatch latch.

My windshield was leaking water and ruined some connecitons.

 

i think the one to the right of the steering column may be messed up, where is it located exactly?

your horn and brake light are on the same fuse. Your fuse is probably blown. It's a 15amp fuse... i keep a lot of these in my car in case my horn blows out my brake lights. I'm just too lazy to find the bad ground in my car for my horn...
