I have a 97 SH with the DC Sports header and an Apexi WS2 exhaust. My stock header came apart and I have it hollowed out the the moment but want to put a real cat back ASAP as it sounds like ***. Should I mod my DC header to 2.5inch collector and have a cat with the proper flange to my 60mm WS2 piping? What would I need for this setup, any suggestions on where to get a cat custom made for this app..or just good cats in general?

 

i'm a little lost, you have a dc sports header installed, and you stock header is "hollowed out"? do you mean your stock cat is hollowed out? and if you have an apexi ws2 exhaust you should already have a cat-back exhaust. it sounds like you just need to either install a new oem cat or get some sort of high flow cat, which you could do a little research and find out what kind of high-flow cats people are using.

 

emissions laws are just another way for the government to get more money out of us. give a big f u to the government by installing a test pipe. and it helps improve performance. screw the envirmont.
