Default The Best Short Shifter?

I am wondering what people have and like the most out of the short shifters out there. I have searched and read a few reviews but wanted to see a poll.

This has been covered many times, as I searched this topic yesterday.

I've decided with the skunk2 SS. Search Short shifter, and you will see plenty of threads. Good luck.

Pretty much everyone will say skunk2, because that's all anyone gets.

Yeah this thread is going to get tired real quick. Most of us either use Skunk2 or B&M. But I find that everyone says the Skunk2 feels better with their weighted shift ****. I have the SK2 shifter but not the **** so I can't vouch for that.

you can get the B&M dual bend for the same price as the single bend (~$40) which is MUCH cheaper than a junk2

Everyone knows about Skunk 2 and they are good, it's what I have in my hatch and in my Teg. But I got the chance to drive my firends EM1 the other day and it has a RRR short shifter, and I loved it...Much better then the Skunk 2 IMO... But hey it's your ride!

Don't get a short shifter...

Short shifters+hondas=New transmission really quick!

Short shifters help you shift faster, but honda transmission's are not made for fast shifting, on top of that they have weak synchros, especially the JDM transmissions and they wear out faster, and will wear even faster with a short shifter, look it up do some research, its true..
Unless you get your transmission rebuilt with carbon synchros and strengthen it up some, a short shifter will just hurt you in the long run

Who said anything about shifting faster? That's based on driver techniques. I'm looking for proof that short shifters alone cause premature wear on transmissions. Where is this research you are talking about?

Well, I heard you were gay.

Get my point?

I want factual evidence that short shifters wear transmissions faster.

Wow did you just pull some **** out of your ***.

SHORT SHIFTERS DO NOT WEAR OUT SYNCHRO'S!!! At all. Banging gears wears out syncros. When people buy short throw shifters, it leads to more BANGING GEARS.

I swear the mods need to jump all over people who give seriously questionable tech advice. People rely on these forums.

perhaps you didn't understand what I was getting at.

I was stating I had heard it MANY times, but nobody ever presented factual truth.

Get my point?

Refer to my post above.

The comma, stating I had heard it many times, HEARD it, not that there was factual truth to it.

By you posting "I hear that a lot" you are only facilitating the problem. People who come on here believe in majority rules. If everyone says it, then noobs will believe it. I am not saying you are a problem, but the fact that you felt the need to defend yourself makes me wonder. You said you heard that, yet you made no other comment saying it was a myth. By you saying that it leads me to believe you think/ thought it was true.

if you know how to drive your car and dont shift like a butthole then i don't think your gunna have problems. its all about how you take care of your car. anything will wear and break over time if you beat on it.

Now I do. You need to clearly type your thoughts next time. We aren't mind readers, and some people (obviously I wasn't the only one... see two posts above) can interpret what you say differently than what you actually mean.
