22x8x15 slick is it to small for 360hp?????
Are 22x8x15" slicks to small for 366hp and 240tq on a b16 in a EG hatch weighing 2240lbs i can get them with rims for a pretty good price..
Or should i just buy 23x8x13"s with lenso's??
i can get a decent set of 22x8x15 local but i thought once you got over 300hp you should go with a 23" slick any advice??
I'm still getting some wheelhop with drag radials and gonna buy slicks..

im using 24.5 and im making 306, but i also have a short geared trans, it depends on wat trans u have, u have a short geared, u want a taller slick so u dont run out of gearnig, if i have a gsr/ls tranny i would go 23s
I got a b16 with a b16 tranny but its open differential.. 24.5 seems big for my car i got stock axles and i've snapped 1 already on 205-50-15" bfg drag radials
u need to preload so u dont snap them, unless u get some high HP rating axels, or fill them up with alot air so u can spin them a lil

There are a couple of ways to look at this. If you can get em cheap enough that if they don't work out you won't lose much money than get them and try em. They will be better than radials and if they are too small just sell them close to what you paid for em.
If they aren't that much cheaper than a new set would cost you its a little tougher. The best way to figure out is to see what gear and what rpm each size will put you in through the traps. Spend a little time with a gear calculator, your gearing, and your tire size and see what you come up with. You want to be able to go through the traps at the top of 4th if possible.
From my personal experience 22"s were a great step from radials. Still farily easy on the car, way more consistent than the radials, and they hook pretty decent (best of 1.64 60ft in my 2700lb street car). Just food for thought

i had ~330whp, ran 11.6@117 on 22x9x13's with 4.4 itr tranny, but had to shift to 5th. car didnt have the power to spin the 24.5's, with 24.5's i ran a best of 11.8@120. both 60'd in the low 1.7's.
hope that gives some insight

dunno if you're getting a crucial deal on the Lensos or not, but they have the 13x7.5s on ebay for $285 + $25 shipping if you're interested. they have like 4 different colors too. just thought i'd let you know
you could still use a 22" slick..i tried them on my car when it made 450 with good results. 24.5 with B16 trans would be a better choice, but you could use 22s
