Turbo F22A4
Can I run a turbocharger on an F22A4 with 208k miles on the engine? What would I need to do to the engine to prep it for the turbo? How much boost can I run?
I am the second owner of the car, and the previous owner drove it mostly on the highway, 60 miles round trip back and forth to work. When I got it in March of 2005, it had 195k miles on it, and I ended up driving it mostly in the city.

Do a compression test and see what the numbers look like. If they are good then boost it. I think 7lbs. is what most people boost on stock parts. 200k miles really isn't much if the car was taken care of.
Sneezin, the car has had its scheduled maintenance throughout its lifetime, and the previous owner took good care of it before I got it, and I make sure to keep it up-to-date on maintenance. Most turbos on stock parts are around 8psi boost (I know that's what factory-installed turbos run). Manufacturer says compression should be 8.8:1, but I will do a compression test when I upgrade to NGK Iridium IX plugs.
