Default www.modacar.com?

Hi all,

I was thinking of ordering parts from modacar.com (shop near my area) but I've just heard some bad stories about them. Anyone ever deal with these guys? What other reputable speedshops are in that area? Thanks

Shingo

modacar is the worst place you could possibly do business with. i cannot say enough bad things about them.

they screwed my step brothers talon when installing a suspension setup.

they lied to another friend on multiple acounts when they blew up his 99 prelude with a jackson charger

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM
the owner is a complete ******* jackass !

what do you want to have done?

i buy all of my new mods from http://www.diabloautosports.com
only talk to mike over there

dont have them install anything. you get what you pay for. get a good mechanic/shop to do anything advanced

i live over in danville, and have a normal shop do all of my servicing and mods (they have done all of my below mods

modacar is by pleasanton am i rite? i'm not sure...i can reccomend motorsport techniques in hayward or thunder alley in san jose....my friend know some shops around there but yea those r some good shops i know from exp. but since i see you are ordering parts they should be alot of reputable shops online look at the banners my preference is to buy stuff online...i use to buy it at a shop i got ripped off and too many delays. internet shops r way cheaper too but for some work you can't do those 2 shops i mention know their ****....

**** John Moda and his shop. They are good at hustling people and ******* up customer's cars. If you're in the Bay Area, order some **** thru Diablo Autosports, or Speed Image in San Jose.

I went into Modacar once out of desperation. I needed a new throttle cable and Acura had none in stock, and pointed me to Modacar because they were down the street. My car was sitting unusable because of a throttle cable that was too short, so I said why the hell not.

I went in, waited about 10 minutes before someone actually helped me. He said "Whats up?" i said "Hey, I'm looking for throttle cables for an Integra GSR... or possibly the throttle mounting bracket from a Type R. Do you guys have any?"

He gave me a blank stare, and after about 5 seconds he said, "No, but we have new euro taillights, you should check them out."

I just turned around and walked out.

to Diablo. Mike has always done his best to keep his customers happy. I wish I could do more than talk on the phone or shoot emails accross the country though.

i'm glad diablo has gotten such national praise. they moved from a small, shared shop to a bigger shop of their own (=

Originally I planned to just order parts, but now I'm curious as to what shops in the area would be good to install parts (such as a new suspension ) And by area I mean bay area/central valley of norcal.

I was orginally going to have my suspension and other parts done at comptech's shop, but that is a long long drive

Thanks for the input though, saved me a lot of trouble

Don't know ****..hmm..lemme think about that. Do you know John Moda or the rest of the staff at modacar? Well I used to live 5 minutes from there and they were complete jackasses to us whenever we went in. Not to mention they fucked up my friend's eclipse when he got it lowered there, then tried to deny it. After that everytime we went in he gave us dirty looks. It was the only place around we had to go at the time, until Diablo Autosports opened up. Mike is a very cool guy, and treats customers with respect. Much more than I can say for Modacrap. They are overpriced riceboys, the staff doesnt know ****, and they do shitty work. I will never give them any business ever again, and I tell everyone I know to do the same, unless they want the latest in riceboy gear. John Moda is a cocksucking riceboy who deserves to be run into bankruptcy!

Does diablo autosports do full blown installs, or are they more of a parts retailer. Thanks!

i got rims and tires at modacar. they dicked me around for weeks and never were able to get the rims i wanted. they were always "on the truck on the way here" they also messed up my tire order, 2 were 40 series, 2 were 45 series. i was the one that noticed it too. but i eventually got some different rims and they got the right tires. they gave me a discount too. so i can't say they are all bad.

hahahhaa Modacar.
I once inquired about getting subzeros in white.
The guy told me ROTA never made them in white.
I then linked an email from Mach III about with subzeros(which unfortunately on back order)
They replied about them being "knock off". I was like wtf?. Who would knock off Rotas?

BTW, mach III is
NIce people, great customer service.
