I'm a new proud owner of an s!!!!!!well as some of you may know about my little dilemma over the summer of wanting an s2k but couldnt find the right one, i was looking around for 8 months and i finally found one that suited me.(and i didnt have to drive all the way across the usa to get it). i found this at Herb Chambers Ford. some lady traded it on for a ford escape. the original orner was a woman in her late 20's. i got a prety good deal on the car too. one of the managers advertised the wrong price on the net. so he was already selling it under book value and didnt realize it till before i was closing a deal on it. the car is worth 18k in NADA and he had it posted for 16.5. i got them down to 15k. the car has a little bit of mileage on it but i'm a school student and wasn't looking to spend that much anyway. here's some info on it
01 spa yellow
71,xxx miles
clean title
factory lip
no dents or dings in the car.
my only plans right now are a cf hood and truck, tein coilovers, and rims which i haven't decided yet.
only thing i need is a good buff on the plastic window to take out the glaze. give me some insight on what to use and what you think about my s2000

farewell accord
i'll never forget our times together

hopefully if all goes well, this is what i intend my car to look like by next spring
either like this.....
or like this........
Both pics taken from s2ki. if you know the owner and they would like me to take it down thats fine.

dont get tein flex coilovers, they suck. if you're going to get teins, get the RA's at the VERY least. By suck I mean plan on rebuilding them very shortly as the good ride quality doesn't last very long.

my accord was pushing 223 whp and 240 wtq. on a .48/.55 a/r turbo. i didnt want that much power cause h22's dont like boost anyways.
does anyone have before and after shots of how well thier plastic cleaner worked?

I agree with Plexus...sorry I don't have a pic of before and after, but it does a decent job so long as you use it regularly (each wash or couple times a month).
I also agree that tein is not the best coilover for the car. KW Variant 3 is probably the best bang for the buck or Bilstein PSS9 (not as much adjustment control but cost few hundred less).
Since you are new to the car and you live up north...word of warning on the plastic window cars: don't lower the top in cold weather (I believe under 55deg risks cracking the window).
Have fun...the NE s2ki group is quite active. Make plans to come to the Dragon in April with the rest of the east coast guys.
