Default help with check engine light

my check engine light goes on and off from time to time. my problem is that when the light is on, my engine gets shaky and the rpm drops low and it feels like the engine will turn off but it doesnt. Another problem is that when im in first gear and my check light is on, i cant hit 4000 rpm it laggs and i have to change gears. I took it to kragen to get it tested and the code is p1259 i guess its a solenoid problem. i dont know. can you please help me out? thanks

when the CEL is on the engine is running in default mode, most sensors are not feeding info; the computer just runs the engine in a "limp home" mode.
Check your oil level, oil pressure, and see if the screen on the Vtec solenoid is plugged up; the pressure switch should have continuity with the engine off.
