Default SUPERCHARGED A6 OR ZC SOHC NO-TEC......fans..post here!

I have decided to supercharge the CRX. I went this route for simplicity and bolt on ease. If any of you have this setup please post what you are using for parts...ie: fuel management, injectors, etc..... I need to know what to get for a reliable setup without gremlins popping up.

I know there are some of you out there.....

STREETWERKZ where are you man..I need info!

Post your experience please....anyone? Bueller?......Bueller?......

for now I am pretty satisfied with my 96 sohc zc non vtec, i still have to do the dpfi to mpfi, its still pretty fast, faster than a del sol, but yeah thats pretty coo.I plan on throwing on a v tec head and a actuator. let us know how it goes.PS. it is always good idea no matter what to upgrade your fuel system, in the long run you will be glad you did.

Been searching this for over a month now there chief...

Just a lot of talking in the related threads....no tech thats helpful.
So I was curious what setups people here are using.

Specificaly for no-tec D engines. So before you go bash on me for a search, keep your comments to yourself. The top post is to the point and not a bench race question so help, contribute, or watch another thread thanks.

what are you exactly looking for?

bolt it on correctly, tune it conservatively, and drive it for 100,000 miles.

change a belt once and a while, and change your oil.

there you go.

did you read the part where I mentioned talk and no tech? The only tech help there is, is on another site, of wich I am also a member.
Some of the only people here worth listening to on this topic are in 8atman's thread, so If your just gonna **** out your ******* mouth, then expletive you.

Why are you all flaming on him for? He has been here long enough to know to search, and he is right, eveyone is going turbo, so when you do find supercharger threads, they are usually filled with no tech. I would like to see some set-ups etc. too. Ive been wanting to go that route but havent had the funds yet. Goodluck.

I ran a JRSC on my old A6 set up a few years back. I/H/E with the SC dynoed at 135 ish if I remember correctly. Stock injectors, fuel pump, stock stock stock.

Pulled great off idle to redline. One thing I did get every now and then was a vacuum type problem. The motor would want to die sometimes coming to a stopsign or stop light. Almost like when you run big cams, I had a boost gauge and it would draw alot of vacuum and you can see it drop. So I learned to just keep it in gear until the last moment then give it some gas in neutral and it would stabilize itself.

Never could figure it out, but for the money it was great. Instant go in gear instead of downshifting and I tracked it a few times on a road course. Felt like I had a B or H motor with the added torque.

I'm running a B18C1 now but I'm contemplating on throwing a JRSC on this set up too. Hope that helped abit

I've got the a6 with the jrsc with the 6.5 inch crank pulley (8 psi) Eagle rods,JE pistons (9 to 1) acl race bearings, crane turbo cam, valve springs and retainers, warlboro 255, 450 injectors, b&m fpr, I-H-E, hondata s200, obd-o to obd1, po6 ecu (for obd-1 conversion) msd digital 6 ignition. A couple of other things I can't remember off the top of my head. Just make sure you don't run the shitty fmu.
It will kill your engine.

Might as well open this up for boosted projects period. Just no vtec. A6 or ZC? Whats your budget setup?

I dont have 10,000 dollars to spend on a project right now, its about half that, so who in here runs boost on a budget? Ive aready searched and I have a lot of info from a very informative site, so lets just get the bash comments taken care of quick.....just curious about whos boosted in this EF/CRX forum and what your using.

A6 and ZC please.

My brother in law made a home made turbo for like 80 dollars on a d16a6. The motor was totally stock, He ran a chipped p28 with uberdata, Hf manifold with the adapter, Eclipse turbo and the injectors with a 3 inch exaust. He dynoed it at 220 HP and 180 tq with 12 psi. 13 psi broke a rod. I would recommend not boosting over 11 psi on a stock motor.
