1989 Honda accord exi shifts hard
It was fine when I test drove it but now after driving it a few hours, it shifts hard and I have to let off the gas to get it to shift in to OD... now that I have drove it 4 times..it is doing it all the time. Fluid is fine etc... Somebody mentioned transmission vacuum modulator ?.. If the car has one, where is it thanx.

Check the shift pressure cable adjustment, it is attached to a lever on the front of the trans. Just as the idle speed starts to increase the pressure lever should barely start to rise.

so losen it off ?..just a bit ?.. I am new to Honda's.. I know GM 700r4 you one click either way to adjust but the lever adjustment on these will be harder.. Thanx for the reply to this also.
