Just bought a 1989 Accord EXI runs fine till it warms up then idles rough
As above. It runs till the temp gauge hits about 1/4 then it idles rough. The check engine light comes on..But hasn't in a while. I checked the blinking light under the seat and it keeps flashing 6 times 6 times 6 times 6 over and over ?. Is this code 6 ? or is the ecm on glue.. Any help would be great... I figured it is the temperature sensor..but I am new to honda's.. thanx

code 6 indicates a problem with the ECT sensor. So it's telling the computer the engine is never getting warmed up, probably throwing too much fuel at it.

where is this ect thing..? .. thanx a ton.. nice to go on a forum and get help.. all the GM sites say "buy a book..learn or get a different car".. you guys rock !
