I wouldn't waste your money. Look in your tool box and get a 16MM or so and a hammer and start smacking. It doesn't take much. If you are getting the head machined by a pro then pop them yourself.

If you plan on re-installing everything yourself then the purchase would be worth it.

i tried advance auto already adn they only have the c clamp looking deals that only work on 6 and 8 cycl. heads with the valve springs that set up from the head not down inside it... i am not looking to just take teh springs off but to put them back on as well...

Make sure to keep pressure in the cylinders when you start removing the springs.

Most overhead valve spring compressors will do the job and so will the 16mm socket but it isnt the best option. If you have the money buy the snap on one.

</TD></TR></TABLE>one thing...

the tabs at the end of the arms that actually grab the springs need to be grinded a tad. they are too thick to fit into the spring, so you just need to make them a little thinner. you will see what i mean when you get it. VERY simple

I didnt grind anything. I used this tool and I still have it. Only thing that sucked is that I had to have a firend help me.

This tool under the link below is great and Only requires one person. I have used both but I ended up[ buying the naop on tool before I saw this one.
