Default RSX Radio in an DC2

Hello everyone. I was wondering if you guys know if the RSX radio will fit in a 94 integra and would it plug right up?

Why would you want to. An alpine is a much better option.

it's the base radio, not the one shown in pics above. someone is selling it on hondamarketplace and just want a stock deck.

just get an OEM 6-disc changer stereo from an accord... or odyssey...

i've got one in my DB7 and it fits better than the original stereo fit. you just need a custom wiring harness to make it work. i'll post pics of it when i get the chance.

to use any newer style deck you need to make an adaptor, took me a few min to make but well worth it. dont bother with the rsx deck, they need an amp to use them. this was my before. my after wont come out for a little while but i gaurentee i am using an oem deck and it isnt an rsx or accord deck. actually the only thing i still have from that pic is the steering wheel. if you do use the rsx deck remember the double din opening tapers wider as you do higher on the deck. if you cut it straight you will look like a moron with gap at the top. you also have to scratch the "6 disc changer" and "security" writing off the deck.

since i have a spare RSX deck, i'll chime in. i even have my own helpful pictures

because the RSX type S 6disc bose cd player has a weird flace plate, you'll have to cut it out. luckily, on the back of the rsx deck is a "frame" so you just gotta cut around it.

but unfortuntely, the back plug of the deck is the 99-00 civic style. so you'll have to get a plug to wire from your stock deck plug to this one.

there's no point in doing this.

just buy an alpine, eclipse, or whatever headunit and ditch the factory bose unit from the RSX. It's meant to run bose speakers, and if you don't have bose speakers it's totally pointless to do this little swap.

Yea what's the point if you can get an aftermarket mp3 player with a much easier install and no problems, and for pretty cheap nowadays?

eh. they look nice, but i think its waste of time and money. unless you can get it for free. other than that, i;d stick with stock one or other aftermaket player.

Well, just got the base radio from a rsx for $40 and put it on. It came with the adapter harness and connects right up. Works good. Use to have a good deck, but the face is f'd up and can't see anything. Don't have much money to get a new deck right now, so, just wanted something that is not too out there right now. That's why I asked and I don't think $40 is bad either. Thanks for the infos.

all that's required for this baby to fit it to use a dremel to get the brace in the back sawed off and a custom wiring harness.
