all i know is that the 90-91 have the seat belts on the doors and mine has them on the pillers. but i was wondering if i could still use them. Do they bolt on no problem?
i was thinking i could just either take out the piller seat belts and use the door ones or vice versa and use my door panel if possible. any input is greatly appreciated.

I believe 88 is the only different one except for the 89 HF crx model........ 89-91 are the same

 

iirc you can go down, not up. for instance 88 wont work on a 89-91 but a 91 will work on an 88-90

trying to understand. so that means i CAN use the 90 doors on my 89 right?

yes you can. with a civic hatchback it doesnt matter.
