Default Is lower better?

Ive been running my car as low as possible for the past year or so.

The rear of my car (94 hatch civic) is about 1 inch higher than the front do the coil over design.

I think the car handles pretty well but I had my car on jacks the other day and was thinking about weight balance.

Here are my corner weights from the scale at roebling:

LF: 697
RF: 672
LR: 467
RR: 373
Total: 2209

I'm pretty sure that those numbers could be improved a lot by adjusting the ride height. I'm not looking for style, just performance.

Should I raise the front at all? I dont think 700 lbs on the front is not healthy especially for cornering. (I think this is why I couldn't hit the apex at Roebling turn 13...but that was also my first time there so who knows.)

Please help me out

youre at 48/52% cross weight. not bad really.

try lowering the left rear corner.

but really, i dont think its gonna make that much of a difference.

Isnt that going to put more weight on the left rear? Dont you mean Right rear?

If you lower the LR you will take weight away from the LR and RF and put more wight on the RR and LF.

yeah i meant lower the ride height, not the length of the coilover.

i chose that corner first because its the one that sticks out the most imbalanced.

I wouldn't even touch the ride height unless you have some scales to use.

I haven't tried this myself (yet), but someone (maybe on Team Integra?) had an interesting way of corner weighting for cheap.

step 1) go to Walmart and buy 12 cheap scales (they are supposed to have some for $5)
step 2) I would check there calibration in the range they will get used by comparing to a known good scale ( 2 at ~135 & 2 at ~170 )
step 3) lay down 3 per corner and put some kind of platform (board) on top (but so that you can still read them, of course)
step 4) get the car onto the boards

A little hookie maybe, but what do you want for $60

I found a link to such stuff https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1435002

But I would suggest doing it like this

after raising and lowering the car (like to adjust the suspension), just roll it back and forth a time or 2.

you could use a lever and one scale per corner. Say a 4:1 ratio so that 700lbs on the front would only equal 175 lbs on the scale. The only commercial ones I've seen are Ruggles scales. Not exactly cheap, but cheaper than a set of Longacres scales. http://www.tgsi.com/scales.html I'm sure these could be built very inexpensively.

Anyone care to make plans?
