Sometimes my car (92 civic w/ a b16)doesn't start, right after i shut it off. Like if i run i the store and come out the car wont start. So i open the hood shake my aem intake around and it starts. (the only hose I have hooked up is the one to the valve cover) Any suggestions? Thanks.

 

Check the main wiring harness located on the passenger side strut tower. Your intake runs right next to that, and could possibly cause a short in the wiring harness. Would be worth checkin', know what I mean?

 

or check the starter...make sure all the connections are clean and nice and tight...

 

The same thing has happened to me a few times, but I've noticed it happening only on really hot and dry days like starting the car after running to the ATM real quick. All I do is let it sit for a while to cool the engine then start my car back up. It still puzzles me though.
