Type R lip a little short, any suggestions?
Bought a urethene 94-97 type r replica lip on ebay. went to test fit it and it seems to be about 1-2 inch short in length. is there any thing i can do to make this thing fit as correctly as possible?
Do you mean it doesn't go back far enough toward the wheel-well part of the bumper, or is it not wide enough? My brother-in-law modified an Accord lip for my sister's old 97 V6 Accord by doing this (see picture, I couldn't explain it in words) since V6 bumpers stick out farther than regular Accords:

He fiberglassed it together and sanded it, not sure if he used any filler or anything to smooth it out more.
*edit - But since you bought a replica lip off ebay I'm assuming that you're trying to save money, so buying another lip to chop up and graft to the one you already have would be a waste. Just get your money back, return the lip, and buy another one from someplace better. The reason my brother-in-law did it is because he couldn't find anyone selling lips for the V6 Accord but that isn't a problem for the ITR lip.

When you say test fit did you just put the lip up to the bumper, or did you take the bumper off and test fit it? If you did it with the bumper still on the car, I suggest taking the bumper off and trying it.

Yeah i need to make the end longer. I test fitted on two different bumpers. tested it on the jdm itr front bumper and it came out a little short, then tested it the 94-97 front on my car and the same thing. The ebay company charges a $20 dollar return fee so I'm not sure if I want to send it back. I guess 'custom fab' is the way to go

Were those bumpers on the car tho? I know i've tried testing fitting a couple lips while the bumper was still on the car, and it was too short. So I was thinking the lip was no good, it was'nt untill I took off the front bumper and tried it did it fit.

They Can Charge $20 For Returning Something That You Decedied You Dont Want, But This Is Their Fault They Sent You The Wrong Product, Or A Product Other Then Described. You Should Be Able To Return It Without Any Charge Just Pay For The Shipping Back To Them. Then Buy OEM!!! Good Luck.

it's short? well, here is what you have to do.....heat that sucker up. i've had abs lips that didn't fit and it was because i tried installing them during this time. all you gotta do is heat that sucker up a bit and it'll flex.
