It doesnt look stock, the only purpose it looks like it does is to hold it up level. Mine doesnt have one. It looks brand new, looks like you bought it and you dont no what its for?

it's for keeping it stabilized so you don't lose brake pressure or vibrations. I don't actually remember the purpose of it but cusco makes them also and I remember reading it somewhere

thats exactly what it is. its a MC stabilizer, it stiffens up the brake pedal a lot. Under braking the firewall will flex as much as 1/4" (or so I have heard) without it.

correct , if you have someone stab at your brake pedal hard inside the car as you watch your MC will move this eliminates the movement. I have that exact one, I beleive h-t username eggman made and designed them

As stated in the prior post, it's to prevent the master cylinder and firewall from moving under heavy breaking.

There is one problem however in that it in return "torques" the frame where it attaches and that can change the angle that the upper control arm is at. Causing the suspension to change geometry under heavy braking.

Of course, that's all "hear - say".

Personally, I think that if the firewall is flexing, then it should be reinforced.

It would be interesting to test that, however, it has what looks like 3-4x leverage on the MC so I doub't it would cause a problem
it would cause any suspension issues.
