what series on 16'' rims? and other tire questions...
i know that 205/40/16 will fit my 16'' rota slips. if im correct, the 205 is how wide the tire is, 40 is how big the sidewalls are, and 16 is the rim diameter. whats the lowest series (sidewall height) i could go with?
maybe 215/35/16?? i dunno, anyone?
what do you guys have on your 16's? what kinda tires are good for all-season performance? where did you get them from?

Your gonna want a 45 series tires with 16" rims in you want to have no fender gap. I had 3/4" inch of gap with a 40 series using HR race springs.
although 40 series may look "cooler" to some people, and yes turn in on race tracks would be improved, but to be honest, the difference between 45 and 40 is very small, and not only will your ride quality be improved with 45's, but you will have to worry less about bending a rim if you have 45 series tires. I say go 205/45, but thats just my suggestion.
And wheel gap? If you have coilovers, it doesn't really matter, but people who get rid of all wheel gap, or who tuck their wheels are just plain silly!! You have to drive like a grandma. If you have some gap, then your suspension actually has some travel to it, and you can drive your car like its your bitch and not have to worry about scraping your tires inside your fenders.

i run 205/40 on my 16s. its not a daily driver, so take that for what its worth.
and i echo what hybridcrx said...there isn't a need to tuck wheels. it just makes driving around town harder.
fyi, the distance from the ground to the metal "lip" where you jack is 5.5". from what i have heard, many ITA racers use this for setting the suspension height...

Just fyi, the "series" of the tire isn't the sidewall height in mm. It's the sidewall height as a percentage of the width. A 245/50 tire has a thicker sidewall than say a 205/50 tire for example.
