Default Stereo In Accord EX-L

Is it possible to install aftermarket speakers and subs into a 2002 Accord Coupe without changing the Stock head unit? I have a 6 disc changer in it and like that as an option ... Not looking to replace it just get better sound quality out of it and add some thump ...

Thanks in advance for the help

Yes, it's possible. But the best way to get better sound quality is to replace the head unit. Replacing the speakers helps a little, but not as much as replacing the head unit.

amen, the system is just as strong as the weakest link, in your case it's the low watt HU

I put back my stock speaker/hu when i was trying to sell the car earlier this year and it sounded like an ****, so when i decided to keep the car as daily, i swapped the deck and speakers back and it was night and day difference.

Alpine HU and kenwood speakers. In my ex. I lost my factory speakers so when I seel the car I will leave the speakers in it. Go the extra mile and replace the HU.
