Default does a ITR intake manifold fit a JDM B18C

I have a civic with a JDM B18c. It's a 4 dr 92. I have AEM intake, exhaust, testpipe, Dc 4-2-1 headers, MSD ignition with a coil. AEM cam gears, Mugen clutch with Excedy flywheel, Apexi V-AFC and the ITC, AEM fuel rail and regulator. I'm deciding on which intake manifold to get. I heard the Type R manifold is really good and I was about to buy it but then a friend of mine told me that it does not fit at all even with modification. Anyways what manifold do i get, does the ITR fit, and what's a good size throttle body for this setup?. Thanks

No it does not fit. Save your time and money and just get a Skunk IM with a ITR TB. Good basic combo... and of course TUNING TUNING TUNING!!!! I've heard the JG IM is good too.. but cost more I believe.

jdm b18c as in GSR right???if so the ITR intake will not bolt on, the only choices you have are Skunk2 and JG/E for GSRs,
Skunk2 is basically a ITR manifold copy with a flange to fit the GSR

as far as TB, stock is about 60mm anything bigger and fits is better, ITR is 62mm but costs about $450-600 from a dealer, 64-70mm TB such as those from Eriks or Spoon ar cheaper and better deal then ITR

damn, so was my friend right about the ITR manifold not fitting? If it doesen't fit what's the next best thing to do. I want the best of everything. What's the best manifold for my setup?

so what's better as far as the manifold goes? The skunk 2 of the JG. And if i get a oversized throttle body with i have to do some modification to make the TB fit on to the manifold?

its all about the $$$$$ fella. And which route you wish to take your engine. The TB will bolt right on the manifold... no mod needed. Get the skunk and perhaps just send your TB in and get it ported to 62 and up! It usually cost about $2-300 with core deposit. And by the way let me give you some free advice.... its not about "the best parts for my car" Its about how well you tune what you already have...

for mild street SKUNK2 manifold rules, as far as TB up to 62mm is perfect anything larger will need to be port matched to get any benefits....do it yourself or take it to shop shouldn't be more then $20-40 to do a good job

If you're just itching to drop a load of cash on the IM/TB setup, then go all JG. Their larger TB mates up perfectly to the IM. For the money though, I'd just stick with the Skunk2, get a TB bored, then port-matched to the manifold... then resize the butterfly to fit the larger opening.

-- it kinda bothers me to think about sometime, but the amount of money this woudl cost would net you 1-200 HP on a Supra... probably 100 on a Mustang... you might get 10.

Honda's are so efficient its difficult to squeeze power out of them with bolt ons. Toyotas and Nissans are really restrictive with their poor designs. Not to say the enigines are bador to knock them....but the fact that an aftermarket intake can give a JZ as much as 10-15Hp shows how poorly designed the intake system is.

Ok so i'll probably go with the skunk 2 manifold. But I still need to do a little more research on the throttle body. With this setup will i even notice a difference with the new manifold and oversized throttle body.

The only bolt on in which you will feel a difference when driving is when you bolt on a TURBO!!!
The IM and TB will give you a few HP, but you can get more agressive cams to utilize the increased flow.

I was thinking about putting a turbo. All the money i will spend on the cams, reatainers, springs, porting the head, new throttle body and manifold. Instead of doing that i could save a little more money and just get a nice little drag kit and leave the internals stock and then later build the whole motor. Does that sound like a plan or what?
