Swapping a K20A (RSX TYPE S) into a '94 Integra
I am buying a '94 Integra and am planning on swapping in a new more powerful engine, I am hoping to swap in a B18C (Type R) engine but am wondering how much harder it would be to swap in a K20A (Type S) instead. I know with civic's it is a much more expensive and difficult swap is it the same for a '94 Integra. Has anyone do this swap? or even the B18C swap that can give me an pointers or feedback on these swaps.
92-95 Civics are the same chassis design as the 94+ Integras and the 96-00 civics arent that much different. B-series bolt directly up, k-series require special mounts, axles, exhaust and I believe you have to run the K-pro. There should be alot of info on the swap in the hybrid section.
First, if you are interested in swapping a K20, I'll lead you here: http://www.k20a.org
Now, B series are definately a lot easier to swap than the k20. In the end, you WILL spend more money on the K series, however the K series are outstanding motors.
The K series requires a lot of extra things such as - Mounts, tranny (obviously 6spd), and lots of various little things.
Head over to k20a.org and do some research.
