Default Steering Wheel has a mind of its own on uneven roads/braking

Hey guys.. I've just recently started driving my integra, and i LOVE it.. the handling is amazing. However, i'm not sure if its because of my rims&tires or not, but on uneven roads, the steering wheel likes to pull a little left or right depending ont he circumstance. Does anyone know why this happens? I think it might be because i got 205/40/17 Tires instead of 215/40/17..

Can someone shed any insight on this? Thanks.

Alex

low profile tires.... everything has a downside.

EDIT: I took out my PS and felt it was much more controllable... and you can actually "feel" the road.

would it be better with the 215's instead of 205's?

I mean.. the car handles AMAZINGLY in corners and on even roads etc, but sometimes it gives a tiny nudge left or right, its not very annoying, i'm getting used to it.. i'm just curious what exactly causes this and if there's anything i can do..

i have the same exact problem....especially wheni am on the highway, doing a good speed and have to change lanes and get stuck in the trucker ruts/waves (the compression of the road from big trucks)....my car is all over.

That is the most annoying thing about my car....it kills me sometimes!!!

I thought it was just me. On the freeways I drive everyday, I now where to start the death grip on the steering wheel It seems to pull too hard to just be tires, I was hoping the open diff had something to do with it. (maybe I just wanted more fuel for my lsd quest)

Mine does that too I just figured it was part of driving a front wheel drive since it pulls in the direction the tires are turned. Ive always driven rear wheel drives in the past and they dont do it. O well!!!! Im used to it now I just dont nail it with out my hand/hands on the wheel

Me too. I noticed it more now that I have lower profile tires (45 series I believe).

I have this problem too but I usually only notice it when I'm coming to a stop at a stop light and there are some bumps/ruts in the road. My steering wheel will jerk over to a side, but other than that when I'm turning/going at high speeds it is pretty good.
