My friend and I have been dying to get ahold of some Si seats for our 88 Civic project car. We bought some seats out of an 89 or 90 CRX Si at a junkyard, and they didnt fit. We found some other Si seats there from a 91 and they didnt fit either. Finally, we've found a guy locally selling 88 CRX Si seats for a good price.

My question is, will seats from a 1988 CRX Si fit a 1988 Civic Standard? Worst case scenario we ask the guy if we can test fit the seats into the civic, but I'd kinda like to know before I drive an hour to check them out.

if anything, u will just have to swap rails. but 88 to 88 should work.

no, just unbolt them off the old seats and rebolt them on the new ones. and if that doesn't work you can try swapping seat pans. i've got some 90-91 crx Si seats that are going in my '88 civic hatch standard but i'm going to make some custom brackets for them.

 

CRX seats aren't going to fit in any of the EF9's because the bolt pattern is different. crx and civic bolt pattern's are different in the rear and the crx rails sit wider apart then the civic standard ones. the best thing would be to swap the bottom parts of the seats.
