Bout $2000 a year average for most insurance companies if you have no tickets...

Yes you will be paying a lot. I am 23 with a perfect record and I pay close to $2000 a year. I heard the 4 door GS-R was signigicantly cheaper though.

Hahaha, I got you all beat... I pay $280/mo for full coverage on my '97 LS! That's $3360/year!!! I'm 19, the car is in my name, and I have 3 20+ mph over speeding tickets (insurance only knows about 2 so far) and no accidents or insurance claims. That's the best deal I've been able to get too, the second best was Titan for $330/mo. This is all for $500 deductibles, full coverage, and relatively low coverage amounts (25/50/15, iirc).

It's the comprehensive and collision that make up for most of my premium. Out of curiousity, I priced full coverage on a '91 Porsche 944 S2 (fastest 944 ever made, afaik)... It would only run me about $200/mo and the current value of one is about the same as my Teg. But, I'm happy to keep the Teg, it's worth the high insurance.

25 with LS cost 1200/year
27 with GSR after stolen LS 1550/year

No tickets, 1 accident.

I'm 19. '92 GSR, 1 ticket, no accidents, $1532/year. Insurance in Wisconsin is really cheap though for some reason.

Lower population density means less chance of accidents = Good for insurance
