Default Just wanted to introduce myself

I recently got my hands on a 2004 Civic LX sedan (ES1). It was my aunt's and she was going to sell it, but I asked her if I could pay for it since I needed a reliable daily driver since my 240sx is being "worked on."

The only gripes I have about it is the lack of power and the fact that it's autotragic. It's ok I guess, as I can just chill when I drive.

I just wanted to introduce myself on HT. My name's Romeo and I'm from SoCal. Don't worry though. I'm not a newbie by no means, nor am I a ricer. I know how to search and I know how to research the forums. I am well-known on Zilvia and NICO (240sx forums) so rest assured I know my way around cars.

First things I'll do to the car is lower it, then some 15" rims, and then a nice stereo system. I'm not too into performance on this car since I already have a car I'm heavily modifying.

Hi Honda-Tech.

P.S. I was trying to look for a ES1 picture thread, but couldn't find it? Is there one? I looked through the EM2 thread and saw a couple, but each one was like 4-5 pages apart.

4 door/automatic would drive me nuts

I'd try to sell it and get a Manual coupe

may cost a little to do that, but I think it would be worth it

Honda's prefer that you rev them high, so you def. need a Manual

have fun whatever you do !

I thought about that, but this is just my daily driver anyways, it'll be fine for me.

Haha, yea, I know, but I'm used to power down low you know? lol

I'll try to find some pics of my car before I started taking all the stuff out of it since I'm making it into a track/weekend car.

EDIT: found some pics.

Here's my old 240. I've had 5.

At this point... neither one. I've had an SR before and wasn't too thrilled. I love KA-T, but I want something reliable.

I'm planning RB25 or VG30DETT.

I've seen that car before on Zilvia. Yummy.. RB25.

I can't go wrong with that route, but neither can I with a VG30DETT. 300hp stock with tons of torque. I can also get it smog legal, since the VG is a US motor.

You should see it in person... He is local to me and a friend on MySpace. It truly is not done any justic by the pics. One helluva car. BOV is FREAKING loud man... You can barely stand next to it with the hood open when it goes off. I BELIEVE it is the Turbo XS RL (Really F'n Loud).

EDIT: just noticed, you are in Cali, so an RB25, like you said, would be MUCH harder, if even possible, to get cleared through smog...

I am still diggin a VG30DETT swap from the 300zx's. That would be KILLER in a 340 or Silvia body.

Haha, I believe you man. I'm always around cars like that though. My friend has a s13 with a 2jz motor in it and that thing rips.

I had the TurboXS bov before, but leaked like crazy.

VG30DETT in an s13:

A 2JZ USDM Supra motor in a 240? Holy crap.

I would want to SEE something like that, more or less get to drive/ride in it.

And I had the RFL on my GST before I swapped over to the Type S, because it was so freakin loud.

2jz in a 240? No problem.

You can fit nearly anything into the engine bay of a 240, since it's so big.

I'm sure you've seen LS1's and other type of V8's in there.

Thanks. Wheels will be coming in last, as I won't be driving the car anyways, but I'm planning on some Gram Light 57Cs.

I have seen the LS6 from the older Z06 'Vettes fit in those 240's, and you are totally right about them being so huge. I have had the privelage of putting a head gasket on a KA24DET, and it was suprisingly easy to pull everything aside, and everything else off out of the way.

I have seen so many non-Nissan motors, in a few different body styles.... 351 C/M/W Ford's in 280's, Sentra's having rotaries... it is simply amazing what people have done to these Nissan's.

The KA is so easy to work on, it's not even funny.

Go get one then. haha
I've seen SR20's in a Miata and a 350Z. I've also seen a F20C in an s13...

Now an F20C in an S13 would be a nice ride. I would drift the hell out of that car. Nice white 240 by the way. I don't really know much about nissans though. Welcome to H-T.

only downpart to CAD18's are that their passages always clog up, other than that the iron block is crazy strong.
