Default CEL

i know theres already a lot of threads on this, but i think this is a little different. i just got an aem cai and two days after installing it, my cel came on. however, it went away the next day. i took it in to my mechanic, and he checked it up, and he said there was one bolt that holds the intake in place that was missing. he replaced it, and all was well. then, the next day, the cel came back on, and then went away the next day. now today, my cel came on again? what the hell is going on? is there anything i can do to prevent the cel from coming on because of the intake? thanks for any help.

Ya, throw out cai and put back the O.E. box and put in a K&N filter.

I have not heard of an Si getting a CEL from the CAI yet....not to say it hasn't happened, but a properly installed CAI shouldn't throw a CEL, especially if it is from a brand like Injen/AEM/Fujita....

that's what I was thinking. It seems like all the problems people are having is with the non-si coupes. My AEM CAI went on without any CEL>

Mine was doing that constantly on and of, on and off, especially if i drove for a while and then stopped shut it off and then after like 10-15 mins of cooldown it would almost always come on.

Like I said, I had no problems with the O.E. box with the K&N filter. I even installed a chip called the G-Box that goes between the MAF and the ECU. NO CEL
