Default RIDGELINE: anyone want to fab a REAL cold air intake for a ridgeline?

as the topic states...

i'm looking for someone locally to fab a cold air intake for a 2006-2007 honda ridgeline. potential for many many customers.

this is one that i threw together, but i want 100% tubing, not the cheapy flex-a-hose.

where do you live?AEM usually will give you an intake if you let them model a new application off your vehicle.

I live in so cal.

AEM already has an intake on the market. its a short ram. no plans for a cold air kit.

i've already let DC sports (same company as AEM) use my CRX to fab up some suspension pieces. they took some tools out of the back of my car (thinking they were DC's i guess) and i never got em back. not to mention it took a lot longer than they estimated, and they didnt pay what they said they would either.

i'd rather have a local SO CAL guy fab it up, make a little loot, and possibly make MORE loot when all the old folk ridgeline owners want a REAL cold air intake.

The ridgeline should fit the 06+ pilot correct? Same motor/chasis?

its really not that hard, buy a U-bend for like $20 and cut up the peices and weld them together, if you cant weld it tape them up and take them to a shop and get em welded. I guess they dont see a big enough market to produce a CAI for it, theyre probably right though...

not to mention it's supposed to be a truck (or SUV missing rear roof section) and that would mean that someone, somewhere might actually think about taking it off road, and maybe, just maybe when they're getting it dirty they cross a stream. AEM will be to blame for the hydrolocked engine no doubt. I'm sure 99% of the ridgelines are being used to transportr people to work and the occasional hardware store trip, so the market is probably not really there for AEM anyway.

We will be done with the CAI for our shop ridgeline today. We can make a bunch if you'd like; planning on it anyway. If you sell 10 yours is free.

I have yet to see an exhaust shop that actually has a mandrel bender. Mandrel benders are very large, very expensive machines. Usually if an exhaust shop makes mandrel exhausts, they either use bends they bought, or they have a die pipe bender and they don't know the difference.

bends are bends, whether they use pre bent or not is irrelevant. thanks
