well today was sad for me i had to put my stock gsr muffler back on had the 5-zigen for 2 years the **** is rotted out where the muffler mets the piping. i will post pics up but is there a way to get a new one? i have pics but need to dl them to the comp. this pisses me off. now i am thinking that if i write them a letter i might be able to get a new one what you guys think should i save it or throw it out. thanks

was that stainless steel??? if it is that is ridiculas. i've had a dc sports ss catback on my crx for going on 4 years and its totally fine. plus i live in mass too and i drove the crx through winters. i also have a greddy bl ss catback on my integra thats been on for 5 years and i inspected it the other day...its totally fine (sounds like a weed whacker but its still in good shape).

so i dont know what that says about 5-zigen.

 

5Zigen mufflers are known to rust over a period of time. Same with Tanabe, that's why they made the new Super Medallions(stainless steel muffler).

 

thats the catch it's not stainless where it broke. the muffler is stainless. but where it joins it's not. so thats why i dunno if they'll gimme a new one. really upset about this. i would rather spend $ on go faster parts. what sucks i have 2.5" from cat back now stock muff. hahaha i love the way the car sounds nice and sssssshhhhhhssssssshhhhhhhhhh quite hahaha oh well

try to get a new one....if you cant get a different one...maybe a usdm ITR one to keep a sleeper appearance.

 

well i just got 2 1/2" pipe to the back how big is the itr muffler i should really try to keep it the same size. well i guess tomorrow comes a call to the company lets see if i can get me a new muffler. sorry bout the double post earlier

 

if you have 2.5" piping and they wont give you a new one go with the ES Oval muffler. do a search there is a huge post on it. jdmhondaparts.com to find it..i think its $109 for the 2.5". supposedly it sounds really good and the best part is its very stealth. looks just like a normal muffler, esp when u paint it black. i've heard nothing but good things about it.

 

hum never heard of it and for 109$ are you sure it's that price? it's a good price. is it stainless. if so i think i would order me up one. also does anyone have a pic. of it on a teg? thanks
