DIY black corners question

I know on the 94 accord you can just crack away at the tail lights yellow color to clear it out. I was wondering if you can do the same thing on the headlights corners?

I dont thikn you can, but I'm pretty sure if you want clear corners, you can go buy a set at advance for like 20 bucks or something....
